Steve Reels Them in- Four reasons he is the Fisherman to Sell your Property!
1) Patience is his strength!
When it comes to fishing, patience is the very first requirement. Quite frankly if you can’t be patient, you won’t catch fish. Selling a house and dealing with large number of people also requires patience!
2) Optimism and persistence come naturally
A good fisherman is always positive with complete optimism for the potential to catch the big one. Optimism pairs perfectly with persistence when fishing, you could fish for hours and not catch a damn thing. But a fisherman never quits. It’s my goal to get you the best deal for your house and I won’t quit until I do. I’ll also keep you positive and upbeat when you need it the most.
3) Attentiveness is a key skill
Fishing requires attention- striking at the right moment to hook the big one, watching the tides and the weather, and searching the horizon for a potential work up. Selling a house requires attention to the market, to every potential buyer, and of course to you the vendor. I promise to make sure you are always kept well-informed, feel included and consulted at every turn and know you can always get in touch with me.
4) The ability to adapt
The best fisherman know how to adapt to their surroundings, when to use a different type of bait, hook, sinker, line or lure, when to move locations and change tact. The property market is ever- changing and being able to quickly adapt is essential. I’ll move and adjust as needed to work with you to get the best result.
So, it is lucky for you that I am an excellent fisherman! I think the skills I’ve developed over my lifetime become quite the advantage for my vendors. If you’d like to chat about selling your property, want to find out it’s worth or share fishing stories and top spots, get in touch for a good ol’ yarn!

When we first decided to sell our house, we initially listed with the agent who originally sold us the house. It went to auction and unfortunately didn’t sell. So, we thought perhaps it wasn’t the right time and decided to wait a year or so before trying again. Just as that happened, we had one of Steve’s flyers come through the letterbox. It wasn’t the first one we’d seen, and normally we wouldn’t pay it much attention, but this one was different. ‘4 reasons why a fisherman is the best person to sell your property’ was what it said, and the first reason talked about patience. I’m not a very patient person, so that got my attention.
We called Steve and we liked him from the get go. He’s super honest, super relatable and is just so straight up. There’s no beating around the bush, he gets right to the point and doesn’t spin you any typical sales lines – and we really appreciated that. He just had this way about him, he made me feel at ease. If you know me, I stress, I worry and I like to be in control, and when you’re selling your house, you really can’t control anything. Steve was always reassuring, “leave it to me” he said, I don’t know how he did it, but he really made me feel relaxed throughout the whole process.
They key things about Steve that stood out to us were his honesty and his consistent communications – even when he went into hospital for surgery (and we had one of his colleagues as our point of contact) he still stayed in touch. After every open home we were updated with numbers and then the following Monday, we had a full run down of any potential buyers and the feedback from the open home. It was fantastic service and we couldn’t fault it. The other great thing about Steve was that he always fitted in with us and our lives, work schedules and kids, which just made things so much easier. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
There were lots of little things that Steve did which were over and above what you’d expect from an agent. When I told him I was struggling with the bank, he gave me details of a great mortgage broker who got us a deal that the bank would never have approved. He even gave me advice on a house we were wanting to buy, even though there was nothing in it for him. Steve actually cares, and that’s what makes him stand out from the rest. He’s straight up, he’s real and is just so easy to talk to. Exactly what you want from a real estate agent. Thanks again Steve, it was an absolute pleasure working with you.

We worked closely with Steve Trotter when purchasing our home in 2021, an incredibly difficult time to purchase a house in Tauranga. Steve was courteous, friendly and professional at all times, and truly went above and beyond in his job, nothing was a problem for him, he made sure every question we had was answered promptly and was always willing to help. It's not often you find someone who understands exactly what you want and will do everything they can to make sure you get it, he was as invested in our search as we were. Steve managed to find us the perfect property for our situation, needs and wants and we could not be happier with the whole process and our new home. I highly recommend contacting Steve to anyone looking to purchase or sell property. Thank you so much Steve, you were amazing to work with.
